Now that’s a compliment we all love receiving. But when was the last time you heard that? Pretty feet! I’m sure you’ll all agree that we all want to have pretty feet.
Many of us have the habit of walking bare feet at home. Whether standing or walking our feet are constantly at work all day. In addition we don’t have the time for a frequent pedicure. We expose our feet to dust and pollution when wearing our open back shoes. This leads to dry skin and cracked feet.
But there are few things we can do at home to take care of our feet. For all of you who want your feet looking nice and soft, try doing this at night before going to bed. Take a tub of luke warm water and add a little salt to it. You can also use soapy water. Dip your feet in it for about 10 minutes. After that wipe them dry. You can also apply a few drops of lemon juice and then wash it off. Massage lavishly with a good oil like mustard oil or coconut oil. To get best results, wear a good pair of socks to lock in the moisture at night initially.
Exfoliating with a natural scrub or pumice stone helps to a great extent. This removes the dull and dead skin and keeps your skin looking fresh and young. And do remember not to rub too hard or you’ll hurt yourself.
The other essential part is our diet. It’s important that we consume a balanced diet so as to remain internally nourished and well hydrated. This helps in keeping the skin well nourished and prevents it from becoming dry. Make sure you eat more of fruits, green vegetables, nuts and grains. Also do keep yourself hydrated and drink a lot of water and fluids. Like they say 8-10 glasses is a must. Do drink it up.
Take care of your feet regularly and you can wear those open heel stilettos any time you need to!
