There are many vegan beauty 'products' you can create just by making use of what you already have in your kitchen. Here are some of the top picks! Best of all, since they’re safe to eat, they’re healthy for your skin.
Minty Eyes
Those dark under-eye circles are annoying, frustrating and can give you a tired or aged appearance. Nip them in the bud with mint leaves. Take ten leaves and crush them before placing them around your eyes. After about ten minutes, rinse off your skin. Mmm, smells fresh and will give your skin a renewed glow!
Papaya Skin SOS
Papaya is a delicious summer treat - but after you’ve eaten it, save the peel! Rub the inside of it onto your skin and leave it on for a few minutes. This can help relieve various skin ailments, such as acne, scar and even age spots.
Avo Face Mask
Another goodie for glowing skin is our green friend, the avocado. Avocados are healthy for skin because they contain Vitamin K. Plus, avos have those good fats that do wonders for us. So, scoff one and then save the other to use as a mask. You can do it easily: simply mash the avo and add a tablespoon of lemon juice to it. Then apply this blend to your face and leave it on for about 20 minutes. Rinse it off well. This is great to tackle dry skin!
Orange Exfoliation
Squeeze out one tablespoon of juice from an orange and mix it with a tablespoon of baking soda. Apply this to your face and neck, leaving it on for about twenty minutes. Then, with damp fingers, rub the mixture in circular motions to exfoliate your skin. Rinse it off.
The next time you're in need of some skin TLC, look no further than your fruit and veggie basket, or herb garden!
