I have been a vegetarian for about a year now, which is a big change for me. I was raised with the typical American diet of meats, pre-packaged foods, and fast food eateries. I also have all the medications to take associated with high cholesterol and high blood pressure to go with that lifestyle. These only help combat the poisons building slowly over time and I hope to soon be rid of them as well.
Now that I had eliminated meat from my diet and felt better, I thought maybe there are other things I can do to stay healthier. I found that dairy products, such as milk and cheese, hold the same dangers as meat, and pre-packaged food which are full of fats, salts, sugars, food coloring.....well, you get the point, like I need to tell you right?
Since I have gone the extra step to eating a Vegan diet, I feel I have finally found the food I was meant to have all along. I look forward to learning even more from my fellow bloggers and this magazine. Wish me luck!
