I love the aroma of baking, be it cookies, cakes or even bread. I mean, why should one go to the store, when you can actually bake simple vegan recipes right here at home? It feels absolutely amazing and you can save some money that you would have otherwise spent. For me, it’s a win-win situation.
I love chocolate chips whether they’re in cookies or anything at all; and this time I am sharing a very classic recipe of vegan whole wheat chocolate chip cookies. It’s pretty easy to make and tastes spectacular. So let’s get started with this recipe, here’s the list of ingredients that you will require for these cookies.
2 cups of whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1 cup of brown sugar
½ teaspoon of salt
½ cup of coconut oil
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 cup of vegan chocolate chips
Step 1: Pre-heat the oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 2: Now, take a bowl and add the coconut oil as well as the vanilla essence and mix well.
Step 3: Next, take another bowl and add all the dry ingredients. Start with the whole wheat flour, then add the baking soda, baking powder, brown sugar and salt to the mixture. Mix them well.
Step 4: Add the chocolate chips to the mixture and make sure that the mixture is thick enough.
Step 5: Now, divide the mixture into 10-12 equal parts and make small balls out of it.
Step 6: Once the balls are ready, flatten them and keep them aside.
Step 7: On a baking sheet, place the flatten balls and put them in the oven for around 10-12 minutes.
Step 8: Check if the cookies are baked properly.
Once the cookies are baked properly serve them with tea or coffee, you can store these cookies in an airtight container and enjoy them with your friends and family.
