Vegan Sweet Tooth is no longer an oxymoron. You can have your cake (vegan cake that is) and eat it too. The cupcake movement has sprouted bakeries nation wide. From cupcake trailers like Hey Cupcake! in Austin,TX to Magnolia Bakery in New York City, NY. But what about the Vegans that love these adorable, delicious, perfect-anytime of the day sweet treats?
While strolling the aisle of my local used bookstore, I came across Vegan Cupakes Take Over the World by Isa Chandra Moskowitz & Terry Hope Romero, I had seen this cookbook advertised in VegNews Magazine and it had been on my amazon wishlist for well over 6 months. So I decided this impulse buy was justified.
Motivated by a friend's upcoming birthday party I got to baking. With over 70 recipes to choose from and a shoestring budget I decided to go with the Golden Vanilla. Simple and delicious. The cupcakes were a hit at the party, and no one had a clue that they were vegan.
I highly recommend this book, it's simple, the ingredients are easily found at any grocery store and affordable. For Vegans or just anyone who appreciates the sweeter things in life.
