On May 17, 2014, Los Angeles will celebrate vegans with the 5th Annual Los Angeles Vegan Beer and Food Festival. The festival will be at 8950 W Sunset Blvd in West Hollywood. Due to the sale of beer, the festival is limited to those 21 and over. There are various door times depending upon the level of ticket that is purchased with VIPs allowed to enter at 12pm. Previous years have brought over 40 breweries and 30 vendors to this venue. For entertainment there will be various bands taking the main stage.
Some of the breweries will include Sierra Nevada, El Segundo and Smog City, with the vendors including Plant Food for People, Beyond Meat Truck Food Truck and Sage Vegan Bistro. A portion of the proceeds for the festival will be given to the K-9 Connection organization. To accommodate all modes of transportation, bike racks will be available.
Purchasing a ticket will allow for unlimited samples and will offer the opportunity for a commemorative glass.
These events are perfect for individuals who would like to sample all of the offerings available for vegans. This is a great way to try new food without feeling like you have wasted your money. Have you ever ordered something and then regretted it once you received it? In this instance it will be sample size and then you can just chalk it up to finding something that does not suit your taste. Additionally, it will be a way to try out various beer and food pairings as well. This seems to be a win/win situation overall.
When you discover the food that you like, at the festival, then you can find out where they are located and possibly find a new regular place to eat. So, you can try out new foods, sample new beers, and try new pairings to see what taste best together. Then you add great music to all of the festivities and how could it not be a fun time?
