The Creator's Original Diet for Man

More and more people today are turning to a plant-based diet for varied reasons. But the most prominent is for good health, strength and endurance.

It is safe to say that it's becoming common knowledge among athletes- especially, serious runners among others- that if you want to elevate your performance to the next level, it is wise to become either a vegan or a vegetarian.

A vegan, simply, is a more serious vegetarian. One who completely abstains from eating meat and meat products. A vegetarian, on the other hand, may sometimes eat dairy products.

Researchers have long known the benefits of a vegan or vegetarian lifestyle. People tend to perform at their optimum level when limiting themselves to the plant-base diet.

Now, if you do not believe you were created by the Creator God, you might want to pay close attention and I promise things will become clearer.

In God's Holy Bible, the Good Lord tells us in Genesis, the first book of the Bible, what the foods are for all his creatures- man and animals alike- to eat.

Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food."And it was so. (Gen 1:29,30).

In the beginning, in the garden of Eden, the original food God gave the first couple was fruits and nuts. For the animals, He gave them green plants. The Creator knows his creation. He knows what's best for them and what not.

And the Lord God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden. (Gen 2:16)

Now, if you bought yourself a brand new car, you'd notice that there is usually an Owner's Manual that comes with the car. In it, the creator(s) of the car would tell you what to do with the car. When to get its first oil-change and the kind of fuel you must use, and all that sort of thing.

Well, when we see in the manual that we must use gasoline or diesel for the new vehicle, we don't argue. We just do it. We trust the manual because the folks who built the vehicle know what they are talking about. That's the fuel they intented for the car to perform at its maximum best, and that's the fuel we must use.

The same is true with man and the Owner's Manual that came with him or her- the Bible!

It's no wonder then, athletes perform at the top of their games after following Creator God's own diet for us by switching to veganism or vegetarianism. But that's not all, researchers and doctors have also proven that many of the debilitating diseases, such as diabetes and heart diseases, can be reversed and are reversed by the vegan lifestyle.

In the next article, we want to talk a little more about the vegan lifestyle from a biblical point of view. And we also want to tie in the non-vegan, or the meat eater, into our vegan story. So, stay tuned!

Alex, this is a great theological lens in which to view the vegan lifestyle. Is there hope for us carnivores?
