You’ve seen the commercials about TJ Maxx, their layaway option and the surplus of department store clothing that they have at reasonable prices. It’s a true steal in there but like many, you have completely overlooked the beauty/ skin-care section and went straight to the Michael Kors bags for a bargain. BIG MISTAKE. HUGE. (Pretty woman reference there).
If you love reading labels—comes with a territory when you’re vegan—and sorting through face masks and sticky opened bottle of shampoo to find the product of your dream. You will eventually stumble upon the vegan sunscreen you’ve been scanning through Amazon for and it’s reasonable too! You want the coverage, the lightweight feel, no oil, non GMO, hypo-allergenic and of course cruelty-free and vegan.
It’s not too much to ask for and I’m here to tell you it is definitely obtainable at a retail price of $5.99. It’s called Damascus Rose face sunscreen SPF 25 and it feels like heaven when I layer it over my moisturizer and out the door I go. I also got this Hawaiian detox scrub by the brilliant Alba Botanica brand. It contains anti-pollution volcanic clay!! I never felt the need to even have anything that included volcanic clay (honestly didn’t even know that was a thing) but I’ve used this everyday since I’ve purchased it. It’s already made a difference in my hyperpigmentation and leaves my skin glowing and soft.
The moral of this informative piece is: if you’re ever around a TJ Maxx, give yourself the pleasure of going into this treasure hunt with no idea of what you will find! And if you find something that you truly love and meets all your valid requirements, then stock up because it’s impossible to find the same thing twice
