Brownies are perfect for satisfying chocolate cravings, but sometimes, they're a hassle to make. Today, I am going to share a recipe of vegan brownies that don’t even need to be baked! They are so simple and easy. And, since they are gluten and dairy free, they have lesser calories, making them a great snack. Let’s get started with the simple ingredients.
- 1 cup of cashews
- 2 cups of rolled oats 1
- 0-12 dates
- 3 tablespoons of applesauce
- 4 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder
- A pinch of salt
- 1 ripe banana
- 8-10 chopped walnuts
*For this recipe, you need to use rolled oats.
Step 1: Place the rolled oats, cocoa powder, cashews, dates, and salt in a food processor. Blend until they are mixed well and have a smooth, floury consistency.
Step 2: You can then add the banana and apple sauce to the mix.
Step 3: Run the food processor again and let the mixture blend until it is a thick and sticky dough.
Step 4: Next, take a cake pan and spray it with oil or line it with butter.
Step 5: Now, with the help of a spoon or spatula, spread the mixture in an even layer and pat it down gently.
Step 6: Top the mixture with walnuts and/or a few cashews.
Step 7: Place the pan in the fridge for at least one hour.
You can chill your brownies for some more time if you like. Once they are done, simply remove the pan from the fridge. Cut the brownies into small cubes or diamonds and store them in an air tight container.
