I've been struggling lately with two major things in my life; my declining and complicating health, and my decision on how I would handle it. You see, I'm 38, 225 pounds; diabetic, hypertensive, anemic, hypokalemic, and I have dysmenorrhea.
I spend every single day in pain, having hot flashes, and feeling horrible all the way around. I knew I needed to do something, besides relying on over ten medications my doctor has put me on. I am still following his medical advice for the time being, but I do not want to be on the same amount of medication or more than that my 70 year old grandmother. So I made a decision, to come clean with myself, my body, my diet and my lifestyle; to become vegan.
I am on day five now, and I have to say it is the best decision I have made in my 38 years. I have started compiling a book of sorts, to help me stay on track and keep track of things as I progress on my journey. In addition, I've started compiling a recipe book. I hope one day that I can share my before and after photos with people and help them to see the light as well. Go vegan for your health.
