Veganism is surely gaining popularity because of the ethical concerns as well as the health benefits it offers. Vegan diet is nutritionally adequate and can help you in leading a long and healthy life. It is a good idea to become a vegan but that might not be enough.
Is every vegan food item good for health? Definitely not.
For example, there are certain vegan beverages that we all consume that are not good for health. They should be taken in moderation if taken at all.
This includes all the soda drinks we casually consume. People get used to them and consume them on a regular basis. They have excess sugar, weaken the bones and teeth and sometimes contain caffeine.
Energy drinks might give you instant energy, they are found to be responsible for heart trouble and blood pressure. Of course, we all know the harmful effects of beer and other alcoholic drinks that have the power to damage our nervous system, intestines, reproductive system and brain.
And how can I forget coffee, even without milk, has its negative effects on the body and the mind in the long run. It is hard to accept but so many of us are addicted to it for wakefulness and alertness.
I only consume coffee from the above beverages, and why I try to do is drink a lot of water throughout the day. Replacing water with any beverage is the biggest mistake we do. We can safely have as much as 10 big glasses of water every day.
