I really wanted to share this vegan homemade pound recipe you’ll so that you all too could enjoy this cake along with me. Now, I’ve altered the recipe a bit to make it easier to follow, let me know if you have any suggestions. Pound cakes are popular all over the world and are prepared in various styles as well. This cake gets done within no time and will definitely be a treat for your family and friends. So here’s a list of the ingredients required to make the homemade vegan pound cake.
½ cup of vegan butter
½ cup of water
2 cups of vegan cake flour
2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
2 teaspoons of baking powder
½ teaspoon of maple syrup
2 tablespoons of almond extract
½ cup of soft tofu
Step 1: Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees and grease the baking tray with some vegan butter.
Step 2: For the dry mixture, take a bowl and add the cake flour, baking powder, vegan butter, and salt. Mix all the ingredients well.
Step 3: Now, take a blender and add the tofu, vanilla extract, maple syrup and almond extract in the blender and process it for a minute.
Step 4: Next, mix the tofu mixture with the dry mixture and blend it for 2 minutes until you get a smooth batter.
Step 5: Take the greased baking tray and evenly pour in the mixture.
Step 6: Bake it for 40-45 minutes and check if the cake is baked properly. Once the color of the cake turns golden brown, it means that the cake is baked properly and is ready to be served.
Serve the cake piping hot or cool it down and put some vegan whipped cream and fruits on the top. Bon appetit!
