Homemade Vegan Hot Chocolate

Who wouldn’t enjoy sitting in front of a fireplace at home and sipping on some lovely hot chocolate? Well, we all crave for chocolate, so this time I wanted to share my homemade version of hot chocolate. This recipe is extremely easy to prepare and doesn’t require any hot chocolate mix. In fact, it’s like creating your own hot chocolate mix at home. Many of us crave for chocolate so I wanted to share this recipe; it will definitely satisfy your craving for chocolate, the vegan way! This homemade version contains a few ingredients that you will get at any local grocery store. And this version of hot chocolate is not very expensive. So here’s the list of ingredients for this simple recipe of homemade vegan hot chocolate.

Ingredients Required:

½ cup cocoa powder

5 tablespoons powdered sugar

Pinch of salt

3 cups vegan almond milk

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 tablespoon vegan whipped cream

Method to prepare:

Step 1: Take a bowl and add the powdered sugar, vegan whipped cream, cocoa powder, and salt. Set aside.

Step2: Now grab a sauce pan add the almond milk to it and heat for about 5 minutes.

Step 3: Once the milk is hot, add the vanilla extract and stir well.

Step 4: Now add the cocoa powder mixture to the milk and stir well.

Step 5: Once the cocoa is mixed in well, heat the milk for 5 more minutes. Check if the milk starts to thicken. Once the milk is boiled, you can pour it into a glass.

Serve the hot chocolate with vegan marshmallows. You can also dust some sugar and cocoa powder on the marshmallows if you want. Hope you like the recipe!
