We always have to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the kids to take to school and we all know how much they love peanut butter. But if you think about it, it is not really good that they are consuming chemical preservatives every day. In order to reduce these daily quantities, I started preparing home-made peanut butter. It is totally vegan and the more natural the ingredients we use, the healthier it will be.
The best part of it is that your kids will not even realize that they are eating a healthier peanut butter as it tastes and looks exactly the same. My nephew is so prejudiced against health food that my sister even had to put the homemade peanut butter in a processed peanut butter pot. Now they love it and your kids will love it too. The preparation is very simply and will only take five minutes.
INGREDIENTS:
400 grams of roasted peanuts, shelled
2 tablespoons of peanut oil
1 tablespoon of sugar
1/2 teaspoon of salt
PREPARATION:
I am considering that you are going to use natural peanuts (without salt), so I added salt as one of the ingredients in the recipe.
Put all the ingredients in a blender and mix it for three minutes, which should be enough to create the desirable consistency.
And voilà, you have just made your own home-made peanut butter. It is simple isn't it? You can store the glass in the refrigerator for 2 months.
Enjoy it.
