Yes, we eat a lot of salad! From leafy greens to various chunk salads it was a quest: we had to come up with a salad dressing that was a healthy alternative to what you find in the grocery store. This recipe was created after a time of trial and error—but now it’s the favorite!
- 1 ¼ c. grapeseed oil
- ½ c. lemon juice
- 4 garlic cloves
- 1tsp. ground mustard
- Oregano
- Basil
We really like the grapeseed oil (or a light extra virgin olive oil) as a base for this dressing. Garlic adds a huge amount of flavor as well as the ground mustard. I’ve used dried oregano almost all the time and recently added a dash of crushed bay leaves—and we like to mix freshly chopped basil leaves into our salads, like, all the time!
