This creamy and silky shake is honestly my favorite drink in the world. Avocados are naturally creamy and do not need much more than water when making an avocado shake. Here in Bali, avocado shakes are often blended with chocolate syrup, which is a bit of a surprise especially if you are vegan, since the chocolate syrup contains milk.
This shake has the consistency of pudding and it is best to eat with a spoon rather than a straw. It is great on its own or with chopped fruit and granola added. Think of it as a green yogurt!
Ingredients: (For 3 servings)
- 1 large avocado or 2 Hass avocados
- 1 cup water
- sugar to taste
- Blend all ingredients in a blender.
- You may need to add a little more water to ease the blending process, and if you indeed want to drink this with a straw feel free to add MUCH more water.
- Serve in a bowl and eat with a spoon.
