This stuff is so bleeping yummy. Seriously.
You Will Need:
- 3 Bosc pears
- ½ cup balsamic vinegar
- 1/2 cup molasses
Coconut milk based vanilla frozen dessert
- Slice the pears lengthwise in ½ inch slices.
- In a saucepan, heat the vinegar and molasses on medium high heat. Stir steadily for 5-10 minutes until the mixture begins to reduce and thicken.
- Add the pears to the reduction and cook for about 5 minutes or until they are soft but are not falling apart. Remove from heat and let cool a few minutes
- Place the coconut frozen dessert in serving bowls. Spoon the pears and sauce over the frozen dessert and enjoy

Sounds delicious! I never have molasses, do you think I could sub it with agave or maple syrup?

Well, I'm not sure how maple would taste with the balsamic vinegar but you can certainly try it. I haven't cooked with agave so I don't know if it reduces like molasses does. My guess is that maple is your best option if you don't have molasses. But molasses has iron and that's why I use it. Also the taste is great with the vinegar.
