A Vegan Never Leaves Home Without...

This is the most important thing for vegans. Every vegan, and vegetarians perhaps, need this document. None of us should ever leave home without it. If we don't have it, the loss is terrible. Absolutely devastating, I say! Vegans and vegetarians, do you have your passport?

A passport, you say? Yes, this passport is the most loyal friend you will ever have! I am speaking of the Spoon Revolution passport that entitles vegans and vegetarians to great discounts in several restaurants, stores and yoga classes!

OK, so the Spoon Revolution isn't just about the discounts with your passport. This is the revolution that won't shed blood. Quite the contrary the purpose is to make veganism and vegetarianism known through humour and good practices. Their main page hosts a variety of videos, cartoons, audios and many more options, that you can use at work, at home and on the go. Around here you never see an Hare Krishna group without the 'coupons', which you can accumulate for an additional discount in participating locations.

The legend says that this revolution started the day the animals gathered together to start mobilizing themselves against the cruel humans who killed them mercilessly. A few young children overheard them, and vowed to take up the revolution that they were seeking to start. These children became vegetarian immediately and started to tell people to use a spoon for their meals instead of a fork and knife.

And, as travellers, this is wonderful.  We usually eat out when visiting other countries, and this little book is accepted in quite a lot of restaurants.

So, will you be requesting your passport soon to help spread the word?

Great post. I voted. The site doesn't seem to give much information on North America.

Hey I voted earlier, just noticed that the comment didn't get saved. I couldn't open the spoon revolution site either. (Do you mind clicking on the link above to check?) Just wanted to say a heartfelt thanks for all the research you do and sharing all this information with us :)

Voted. Yep, I know people over here who have the vegan passport, brilliant idea! I am going to get one (not that I am doing much travelling at present, sigh....But I will again, as soon as I get the chance!)

the good thing about this little jewel is that it's not only for travelling. You could surely use it in your city or close by.

Oh yes, great idea! If this is the passport I think it is, does it have phrases explaining what v eganism is, in quite a few different languages, for those countries and cultures that are not familiar with it? Someone showed me one once, I presume it is the same one. Definitely an indispensable travel item!
