A Day in Paris As a Vegan

I’ve been living in Paris for six years now, and have been vegan for the last two and a half. I’ve been following all the developments on the vegan food scene in this time and would like to share my recommendations with you. Below are some places a vegan might like to stop by during a day in Paris, from breakfast to dinner. Let’s started the adventure!

BREAKFAST

Finding a wide range of vegan spots in Paris is no longer just a dream – it’s a reality! And good news: it starts with breakfast! The coffee shops Comptoir Veggie and Cloud Cakes are the best places to enjoy a vegan breakfast in the city. The first one is my favorite (they make a delicious sweet bowl) but the cupcakes and croissants from the second spot (yeah, vegan croissants!) are really worth the visit too. It depends on your personal preferences!

I’m a huge fan of VG Pâtisserie too, the city’s first gourmet vegan pastry shop specializing in French pastry. From their lemon pie to their “entremets”, they use organic ingredients and seasonal products as often as possible, and the results are exquisite.

LUNCH

Go (or go back if you were there for breakfast) to Comptoir Veggie to enjoy one of their buddha bowls: a generous meal that you won’t soon forget. If you love burgers, don’t miss burger joints Hank and Season Square. Although the first one is the most famous, the second one is really underrated in my opinion, and as it’s not located in central Paris, the place won’t be too busy.

If you’re an explorer always searching for unique food, you’ll like Jah Jah by Le Tricycle. They offer Afro-vegan cuisine inspired largely by the culinary traditions of Africa, South America and the Caribbean.

FOOD TOUR

A great project has been created too: a vegan food tour! A 3-hour guided walking tour including 100% vegan tastings at different locations. I’ve tried it and it’s really worth it! We also explored some districts of Paris, learning historical details about certain places along the way, and I got to see the city where I live in a new light. Check out Vegan Culinary Tours Paris to learn about the tours they offer.

DINNER

Dinner is a perfect opportunity to taste the fine vegan cuisine of the French capital.

Le Potager de Charlotte is one of my top picks. Not only do they create delicious gourmet vegan cuisine using seasonal products, but this family-run restaurant is also really involved in promoting our French terroir with the awesome local products they find.

If you’re more interested in Asian cuisine, Tien Hiang is an Asian vegan restaurant that has long been a must for every vegan in Paris

The dishes reflect the cuisine of South-East Asia, from Vietnam to Malaysia. They make all their products in-house. For a unique experience, try the dishes that include “pork” or “chicken”, which are made with soy protein or jackfruit and ingeniously reproduce the texture of meat and fish.

Folding scooter - That is in all probability the preferred scooter amongst youngsters and teenagers. It's manually (or foot) operated. The rider makes use of his or her foot to push it till they've enough momentum.https://smartelectricscooters.com/future-of-electric-scooters/
