4 Sensational Vegan-Friendly Coffee Recipes

While black coffee is vegan, there are times when you want a creamy, decadent caramel frappe or mocha coffee with whip. The problem is not only are these loaded with sugar, but they are also prepared with milk. Before you throw in the towel, there are many ways to enjoy your favorite coffee drinks vegan style.

Coconut Mocha Iced Coffee When you feel the need to indulge, this coffee drink will hit the spot. It's 100 percent vegan and satisfies even the sweetest of sweet-toothed individuals.

·         Brewed coffee five ounces

·         Coconut milk one-half cup

·         Chocolate syrup three tablespoons

·         Toasted coconut two tablespoons

·         One can cold coconut milk

While your freshly brewed coffee is cooling, mix cold coconut milk with sugar or sugar substitute with an electric mixer. Beat until soft peaks form, which is approximately six minutes. In addition, you can adjust the sugar to taste. Next, add one or two tablespoons of chocolate syrup in the bottom of the glass, followed by ice cubes, coffee, coconut milk, vanilla and sugar. Feel free to add some extra whip on the top with toasted coconut.

Skinny Vanilla Latte Who can resist an iced skinny vanilla latte? To get your skinny on without the latte, simply add the following ingredients into your most beautiful glass, sit down and enjoy:

·         One cup of ice

·         One-half cup of cold coffee

·         One-half cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk

Pumpkin Spice Latte Autumn and pumpkin spice lattes go hand in hand. Although this recipe will take a little longer to prepare, it will be worth it. To make this little piece of heaven, you will need the following ingredients:

·         Coconut sugar one-half cup

·         Maple syrup one-half cup

·         Pumpkin puree one-third cup

·         Nutmeg one-half teaspoon

·         Cloves one-quarter teaspoon

·         Vanilla extract one-quarter teaspoon

To make the syrup, blend all of the ingredients in a medium-sized pot over medium heat. Let simmer for approximately five or six minutes. When the consistency is smooth and slightly thick, remove from heat and let cool. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight jar.

Following this, using a small pot, add almond milk. Bring to a simmer and then remove from heat immediately. If you have a French press, you can froth the almond milk. If you don’t have one, no worries, as it will taste just as delicious without. Next, add your 11st Street Coffee espresso or coffee of choice into a mug. Pour in your almond milk and then add three to four teaspoons of the syrup. Stir gently to blend. Add a pinch of cinnamon and presto!

Hot Mocha Coffee If you are never sure whether to have vegan hot chocolate or coffee, you have come to the right place. You can have the best of both worlds. To make this delicious mocha coffee, you will need the following:

·         Coconut milk one can, light

·         One cup freshly brewed coffee

·         Two tablespoon sifted cocoa powder

·         Half teaspoon of vanilla

·         Sweetener of choice

Whisk together the coffee and coconut milk in a medium-sized pot. Bring mixture to a simmer and reduce to low heat. Sift in the cocoa powder, whisking quickly to incorporate until no clumps remain. Whisk in maple syrup to taste and a dash of sea salt. Serve immediately.
