Kale chips are the best chips that I’ve ever tasted and they are surprisingly healthy! I am addicted to them and would suggest everyone give them a try. They are light and perfect for a snack at any time of the day, but I like eating them just after my evening walk. However, kale chips are very expensive at the market, so I thought I'd share an easy recipe today. Since most of us like potato chips but they aren’t healthy, kale chips can be a great alternative. So-- for an evening snack, try baking your own kale chips. You will just need three ingredients. Let me show you how to make them.
Ingredients:
- 1 bunch of kale
- 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil
- A pinch of salt for seasoning
Directions:
Step 1: You will have to preheat your oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit. In the meanwhile, you can wash the kale leaves and dry them with a cloth.
Step 2: Next, take a pair of kitchen scissors and trim out the ribs of the kale. We only need the leaves for this recipe.
Step 3: You can cut the leaves in half, so that they are a nice bite size.
Step 4: Now take the kale leaves and place them in a large bowl. Add some olive oil and thoroughly coat each leaf.
Step 5: Line your baking sheet with a parchment paper and spread the kale evenly.
Step 6: You can sprinkle some salt and bake the kale for about 10 minutes. But keep checking them or else they could burn.
Step 7: Remove them from the oven and let them cool.
That’s all!
(One cup of kale chips has approximately 150 calories, which is less than half of many popular snacks. You can experiment with different seasoning whenever you want to try a different taste. Some of my suggestions are pepper, red chili powder, or oregano.)
Enjoy!
