Vegans Live Longer For Less

The benefits of a vegan lifestyle are many and each person decides what is best for them and their family. I have gone vegan, or as my friends say, “extreme” for basically two reasons. Increased overall health, and to save money at the grocery in our tough economy. No more fast food meals or eating out that results in fat and cholesterol clogging up my arteries. I am saving money by staying away from restaurants and making many more home prepared meals. By eating vegan, I am having fruits, vegetables, grains, soy, and nuts which results in feeling fuller so I am eating less and losing excess weight. I am save money by not wearing furs or leather items, gleaned from the misery of animals, as there are cheaper alternatives. I guess I have to add this to my benefit list because I don’t think I will feel good about myself as a consumer of exploited animals. So, if you need reasons to go vegan, look at saving money, being healthier in body and healthier in mind. We can live longer, with quality, and have improved health along the way.

Voted. Great blog, and I love the pic of the vegan food pyramid! 100% agree with everything you say. I am convinced the only reason I have survived financially thru these last few years of grinding recession is because I am vegan, so it costs me quite a lot less to live. That is one of the many benefits of a vegan life! True to everything you say - as long as you don't go for meat alternatives. Some people do that, then complain that beign vegan is expensive, but doing it the way you are is truly more ecnomomical. Voted! When you have the chance, stop by my new article, True Compassion.
