Hello again, Vegetable world!!! So, I am a lone Veg and new to the blogging game...and not quite the best chef, give me a break! Ha, ha! Well, I am still learning at the moment. I promise to come up with more elaborate recipes in the future; but for now...you will have to settle for simplicity from THIS girl.
Let me start by telling you that after being Vegetarian in Mississippi for two years, which by the way makes you feel bout as uncomfortable as an "escort" on the front row at church, I have decided that it is bout that time to go full Vegan! Yay me!! It didn't hurt that I found out how much Iodine is in dairy products, either, though.(I'm allergic to Iodine...yes REALLY allergic) So, the reason that I still feel bloated all the time and have stomach problems was very likely due to all the cheese that I could not help but eat. That is really an addictive food, I don't care what no one says! Either way, I am giving it up, going for the gold, pushing the envelope, throwing in the towel, etc....and all the other analogies that I can think of. Its over Mr. Cheese Ice Cream Yogurt Man!!
That being said, I have been expirementing with different smoothies to take my mind off the dairy. I certainly do not know what I am doing...mostly just throwing a bunch of stuff in the processor and let'n her ride, but this one turned out so good that I licked the blade to keep from washing one drop down the drain! (Sure did.) Anyway, I figured I must share...because I am just cool like that. ;-)
- 1 Mango
- 1 orange
- 2 med bananas
Frozen Mango Chunks-1 cup
Just throw it all into a food processor and turn her up full speed for about 1 or 2 minutes. Ice cream never tasted that good to me!!!!! Enjoy!!
