Shed the Extra Pounds with Vegan Organic Diet

Shed the Extra Pounds with Vegan Organic Diet

I chose to begin leading a healthy life a few years ago. Every step toward that goal has benefited me with both tangible and intangible benefits. One of the immediate benefits I observed upon becoming a vegetarian was effortless weight loss. My decision to give up meat was well thought out, and the transition was absolutely effortless.

When the food you eat is right, you remain in shape. Your skin glows, and your eyes are crystal clear. Food also affects so-called inner beauty, by giving you tranquility and peace of mind. Nowhere else will you find so many benefits as the ones that come alongside a change of diet.

As soon as you start consuming more vegetables, (especially organic and steamed ones), you will realize how tasty and unique nature has made them. There is no need to add extra oil, cheese or any other flavors. I instantly fell in love with coconut, and I still am very much in love.

The best thing about vegetables is that they contain a lot of fiber, which regulates your bowels and lets you know when you are full. Other foods often give you a bloating feeling but you never feel as full.

Carrots have been my absolute favorite. I eat them at snack time. I've decided to always keep them ready, so they're peeled and sliced for the time I crave them. This helps a lot. Carrots are rich in vitamins and as well as the fiber I talked about above. You can also try juicing them for an excellent afternoon drink.

I've also increased tomato intake in my diet. I love them, and they have high water content, which makes them a perfect choice for the hot climate I live in. I use them in everything-- sandwiches, salads, juices, curries, and pasta. For regular potatoes, I often substitute sweet potatoes, because they are lighter.

I also include fruits as my breakfast and the weight loss result is great, all without exercise. Of course, I realize the importance of exercise and have now included it as a part of my daily routine, which only enhances the benefits of a vegan diet.

Very nice. I too love coconut. I have 2 coconut trees in my back yard. One tree gives the green coconuts which are taken from the tree. The coconut water is so good to drink and so good for you. I also love to make shreded coconut and just sit and eat it. When shreded and presses you have pure coconut milk whick I could drink by the gallons but this one would not be possible. I love your facts. voted If you have time please stop by to read my new post "Snake Bean and Tofu Stir-Fry" I think this will go right in with your diet considering snake beans are only long green beans. Enloyed this.

I read one comment on an earlier post of mine where you wanted to learn more recipes on how to cook with fresh coconut milk. I have posted two that should help you out. You might want to read them and copy the recipes for yourself and try them at home. I have other recipes to cook with coconut milk and will post them one day soon. Hope this one will help you out. The last one I posted was on how to use fresh coconut milk with left over rice to make a nice meal.

Yes, to everyone who has commented, please vote for Akanksha, this is a really good blog, like all of hers, and she deserves the chance to get to Top Posts with it. Other people also deserve that chance, but they don't seem to be getting it at present, sadly :-(

Ms Akanksha I believe I read you were wanting to make an vegan omelette and I have used these recipes which are easy to do and taste excellent. You might want to check out the these recipes and follow them. Please check out these sites for your omelette: http://blog.fatfreevegan.com/2007/09/vegan-omelette-for-one.html and I have also made this one following this recipe. They are wonderful. If you want an omelette http://www.veganricha.com/2012/08/chickpea-flour-omelette-with-spinach.html I have used both of them and they taste like a real omelette which I think you might like and enjoy.
