Instead of looking for pricey energy foods, try these easy to make, healthy snack foods. Using healthy ingredients such as granola bars, yogurt, nuts, and raisins you can make this healthy energy food.

Granola bars have become popular for the runners and high-performance athletes. They can provide energy because they are high on calories and muscle-building protein.

Granola bars also provide varying amount of carbohydrates for high-performance athletes, the addition of nuts and yogurt is what makes this food richer in carbohydrates. These foods also contain monounsaturated fats (also known as good fats) from nuts and low in trans fats (also known as bad fats). In addition, Granola bars also have varying amounts of dietary fiber, which are good in meeting body's fiber demands.

Granola foods are great for lunchboxes, quick snack, and breakfast on the go. They’re great to take on the go and easy to make. In fact, four ingredients and few minutes of prep time are all you need to prepare this energy-boosting snack. It's an easy snack formula and highly nutritious!


  • 8 granola bars
  • 8 tablespoons raisins
  • 8 tablespoons chopped nuts
  • 4 cups sweetened yogurt


  1. Place granola bars in a plastic sealed bag, and seal them pound with a mallet to lightly crush. Divide among 4 serving bowls.
  2. To each bowl add 2 tablespoons each of raisins and nuts.
  3. Pour a cup of sweetened yogurt into every bowl just before serving.
