In January, a new and innovative concept will open its doors in San Diego, California. Plant Power-Fast Food, an all vegan fast food restaurant, will be arriving on the scene.
Plant Power's entire menu consist of plant-based burgers, fries, tacos, salads, shakes, smoothies, and fresh juices. Breakfast foods will be added to the menu in the not-so-distant future.
The restaurant is set up similarly to Sonic’s popular “cruise in” style. Food is ordered through a kiosk and staff then brings the food out to you. The restaurant will also offer beautiful indoor bamboo tables, at which customers can enjoy their meal.
VP of operations, Zach Vouga, says that Plant Power's mission is to turn more people on to a veg diet. Don’t worry. The owners aren’t going to preach to you. Instead, they'll let the food do the talking.
“Turning our vision into a reality is a group effort,” adds Mitch Wallis, CEO. “Plant Power-Fast Food is a diverse, hardworking, enthusiastic team committed to bringing something wonderful to our world.”
The organization already has a second location preparing to open in the spring of 2016. They hope to create a regional chain over the next several years.
"Reducing the amount of animal products in your diet is the single most powerful action an individual can take to stop climate change, end world hunger and save our planet,” their website claims.
The first location will be situated in Ocean Beach. It will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Healthier food is the future. And Plant Power-Fast Foods, is getting a head start on the competition.
