Do you own a Vitamix? If so....we need you!

Update: We got a ton of awesome responses and posted most of them (and the code for free shipping!) here: Vitamix Free Shipping or you can just click here to go to the Vitamix site and automatically receive FREE shipping.

Hey everyone - We've worked out a special deal with Vitamix where readers of The Flaming Vegan (that would be you wonderful people) can get totally free shipping when ordering a Vitamix (aka "A Vegans Best Friend").

We're going to work up a page that has the special code you can use to get the free shipping, and on that page we thought it would be nice to have some thoughts from community members about their Vitamixs (Vitamixi?).

So, if you own a Vitamix (and are cool with us using your thoughts about your Vitamix on our page) please leave them below in the comments!

If you guys seem to like this sort of concept (us working out special deals with vegan friendly companies) we'll do more of it in the future. Thanks!

I don't own one, but after googling it and seeing what it is, I am jealous of anyone who does. ;) Who wants to send me one for my b-day on July 25th? Ha!

I have been checking and checking their website -- just about everything is "sold-out". They have the reconditioned ones but I don't want one of those. I would love to take advantage of the free shipping IF they have the one I want back in stock -- thanks!!

We love our Vitamix and use it daily! Green smoothies, fruit shakes, and vegan ice cream. After a year and a half we've only barely scratched the surface of its uses. Only wish their recipe book had tastier items.

I was hesitant to buy a Vitamix because of the price tag. But a friend of mine had one and used it to get more veggies into her diet. Her smoothies won me over. I use it almost daily now. My Heath has improved dramatically and it makes soups, curries, and hummus as well. It chops everything and is a food processor and blender in one. Vitamix warranties their product for 7 years and the resale price on Craigslist was over $300! It's a great investment for your heath and wellness.

The Vitamix presentation at The Seed in NYC last weekend won us over. We're planning on getting our own Vitamix asap and would love free shipping through the flaming vegan! :) Cashew ice cream, veggie soup, green smoothies...yum!

The Vitamix is, by far, the best kitchen appliance I've ever owned (and I've owned a lot). I use it once a day minimum but sometimes two to three times a day. I make many different kinds of smoothies, soup, hummus and really yummy frozen fruit treats. I've gone through periods where everything I eat for a week is made in the Vitamix. It's a great transition into or out of juice fasting because it's liquid health but still contains the fiber that your body needs. It may be expensive but it pays for itself many times over if you are a smoothie lover. Jamba Juice charges 4 bucks a pop on average so it doesn't take long to recoup the cost. If you are on the fence, go for it - you won't regret it!

After reading "Finding Ultra" by Rich Roll, we were intrigued by the Vitamix that he referenced, and also decided to try going plant-based for 30 days. We agreed that a 7 day cleanse would only improve our bodies ability soak up all the nutritional elements that we would be drinking every morning and so our journey started. Our first attempt at making a cleanse smoothie was an epic fail... not only did we have chunks of greens to try and gulp down, we burnt up the motor in our blender. So, the decision to invest in a Viatmix was made. Yes, they are a bit pricey, but worth every single penny!!! We LOVE our Vitamix... and so do the kids. It's amazing what this machine can do... from whipping up smoothies, hummus and refried beans, it will even blend up the perfect soup and pour hot, so it's ready to eat right out of the canister! This thing is absolutely amazing and we will never be without our beloved Vitamix!

I LOOOOVVVEEEE my Vitamix! I've had it for about 4 years now, and it's the only appliance, other than my coffee maker that I keep on the counter. I use it at least once a day (always start my day with a green smoothie). I use it for so many things...soups, dressings (emulsifies so well!), sauces, frozen yogurt, and even peanut butter (I never have to worry about recalled or contaminated peanut butter when I make my own and it's better than anything you can buy). Its' by far the best investment I've made when it comes to small appliances...and I have a boatload of them. I bought mine at Costco but I ordered the smaller container online. I wish they had a container specifically for making nut butters...that would be awesome.
