Summer is finally here and I am very excited that it is once again lemonade season! I like my lemonade a little different than most people though with the dark and rich flavor of brown sugar so I thought I would share my delicious recipe with the rest of the world! For easy portability, I like to keep it in pint jars so it won't leak and is easy to throw in a bag and bring to the beach or park!
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup lemon juice (4-6 lemons if you want to squeeze your own!)
- 4 cups cold water
First, boil a cup of water and add the brown sugar, stirring until disolved. When there are no grits of sugar left, add the lemon juoce and water and stir well. At this point you have warm, yet very delicious, lemonade. I usually hrow it in the fridge for an hour or the freezer for half an hour before serving. Enjoy!
