Avocado-The healthy fat. Avocados add a creamy and rich flavor to just about anything. You can put it in a salad or a soup, even a smoothie. My favorite way to eat it is as a dip. I love being able to eat some crackers with this delicious dip. This recipe works great for a bed time snack. If you want to give this a try, here is what you will need:
* 1 Avocado
* 1 Tomato
* 1/4 of a red onion
* 1 Clove of garlic
* The juice of one lemon or lime
* A small handful of cilantro
* Salt and pepper to taste (optional)
You can use a food processor or blender and place all ingredients in it and blend it until you get the consistency that you want. ( you might need to cut some of the ingredients to fit better in your food processor or blender)
I use neither of the kitchen appliances because I like mine to be a bit chunky. So all I do is cut the avocado, put it in a bowl and press it down with a fork, then I add the diced tomatoes, onion and garlic. I squeeze the lemon juice and add the chopped cilantro. Finish with salt and pepper, mix well and its ready to go in my belly!
