All time favorite Garlic Bread:

As easy as it actually is, many people still buy "ready made" frozen or packaged garlic bread at the grocery store, or only indulge in it while out at a restaurant. But making it at home is easy, and a great way to ensure that it's vegan and that it utilizes fresh and/or organic ingredients! I first tried making garlic bread myself while in grad school. And ever since it has remained my all time favorite appetizer. My friends love having garlic bread at my place which is also very encouraging for me. And yes, I can never say no to garlic bread. Here’s how I do it:

All you need is:

a. 6 slices of Italian Bread

b. 4 cloves garlic

c. ½ cup olive oil

d. 1 teaspoon dried basil

e. Salt and fresh ground black pepper

f. 1 teaspoon dried oregano

Crush the garlic cloves. In a small bowl mix olive oil, crushed garlic, dried basil, salt and pepper. Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees. Generously brush the garlic mix on the bread slices. Wrap in a foil and bake for about 10-12 minutes. Remove and sprinkle just a hint of oregano on top. Serve with drinks.

Welcome to the flamingvegan. We're happy you're here. I love garlic bread, especially on cold dreary days with a side of something really warm. Definitely worth a vote. This would be a perfect side to my white bean jack daniels chili (vegan of course). You can check it out and let me know what you think, if you have the time. Peace and blessings.
